There is this blank emotion that plies on the narrow rail tracks of Apsheronsk Russia. In the low population areas of Russia, they chose to spread the rail tracks of 2-3 ft width. It was meant for lumberjacks to transport wood and for people to travel in the remote areas. An interesting thing about the trains on these tracks is that anything can be tied to the engine. As and when required, the engine might be pulling passengers… or carts of sheep or wood.Or even reach out to help with crane services. The passenger bogies wear a deserted look during most part of the day. These are replaced by simple carts to transport wood.Engines require to puff the extra smoke when the pull gets harder. Some of these tracks are rarely used. A few villages are quite rarely visited by outsiders and the villagers are happy to stay in their village – avoiding traveling to the outside world. And others pass through the green pastures.Yes, there are some busy junctions as well. And a few that have not been used for ages now.Others that were recently laid down….And yet others that are older than the oldest..There are few that promise to take you to a lively village… Even though bogies might look dull and worn out…Afterall who cares how the car looks when one knows they are heading to a happening village. There goes a wooden bogieAnd here we see a family of 3 bogies going for an evening stroll.Winters get harsh and the movement becomes negligible.Engines get relatively free in the winters. Its the time for repairs and rest. After winters, a few will remain stagnant and won’t move out. While others shall start rolling on the rails, keeping their promises with the distant villages.
Rails in pictures. Where did you get these pictures?
It looks more beautiful if these trains contain people. I ended up feeling the absence of humans though the railway department must be appreciated.

Wow, I love trains, but I’ve never seen train tracks (railways) so close to a house before. LOL. It feels quite exotic.

Yes. These are narrow rails. These were designed to be able to reach out to the remote areas. Trains travel at a lower speed (mostly 30-45 kmph).
